CARDBOARD AND PAPER
WHAT are CARDBOARD AND PAPER?
Cardboard and paper are some of the most common waste materials produced in offices, restaurants, and numerous other commercial businesses.
Your delivery will be in packaged cardboard boxes; Books, magazines, and promotion categories from your local grocery store will be made by paper.
CARDBOARD:
Cardboard is a hard material made up of paper and it is used for manufacturing boxes, and for some other packaging.
PAPER:
Paper is the sheet that is usually used for writing. It is made up of cellulose and not water absorbent. Generally used for writing material and printings.
CAN YCA RECYCLING ACCEPT BOTH CARDBOARD AND PAPER FOR RECYCLING?
Yes.
The process of cardboard recycling is easy and inexpensive compared to plastics recycling. However, there are still conditions you have to meet before you dispose of them for recycling.
AVOID THE FOLLOWINGS MATERIAL:
1 - Wax cardboard boxes
2 - Laminated paper/cardboard
Laminate cardboard with plastic layers and wax cardboard boxes were made to be suitable for food contact and to eliminate allergens naturally present in cardboard.
Both materials should be avoided and should not be mixed together with clean cardboard and paper.
SO WHAT CAN YOU DO TO MAKE SURE YOUR CARDBOARD AND PAPER GET RECYCLED?

AVOID wax cardboard/paper and laminate cardboard/paper.

AVOID cardboard/paper contains food scraps.

Remove all contaminations including plastics and foam.

Ensure the cardboard and paper are clean and not contaminated.
At YCA Recycling, we package all pre-sorted, clean (minimum 99.5% clean) cardboard, and paper into export-size bales. The bales will send to a processor to go through a process of re-pulping and turn in to cardboard or paper again. Learn more
